For UK driving instructors
Spend your time teaching, not chasing admin.
Your pupils, lessons, notes, payments and new enquiries in one app on your phone. And your pupils get a learner app that gets them ready between lessons.
- Free while we launch
- No card needed
- Built for the 2026 DVSA rules
Is this for you?
- You teach on your own, or you are part of a small school
- Your lessons, notes and payments live in WhatsApp, a diary and your head
- You spend evenings on admin instead of resting
- You wish your pupils practised more between lessons
One system instead of three
LicencePath puts your diary, lesson notes and payments in one place, and connects them to the app your pupils learn in.
Before: Lesson times in WhatsApp
One diary your pupils can see, with reminders.
Before: Notes in your head
A record after every lesson that your pupil can read.
Before: Payments in a spreadsheet
Who has paid and who owes you, always up to date.
What you get
What changes in your week
Know where every pupil is up to
Contact details, progress, what to teach next and what they owe, on one screen.
Keep your week under control
Lessons, free slots and test dates in one diary. Pupils can get a reminder before each lesson.
Write up a lesson from your phone
Tap to rate skills, add a note and mark mock tests on the DVSA sheet. Your pupil sees it straight away.
Teach pupils who have practised
They practise theory, hazard perception and whatever you set. You see what they did before you meet.
Know who has paid
Record cash and bank transfers against each lesson, and see your income without a spreadsheet.
Get found by new pupils
A professional website in your name. New enquiries land in one list, so none get lost in WhatsApp.
How it works
Start with this week's pupils
No training course and no import project. Add the pupils you teach this week.
Sign up free
Tell us about your teaching. No card needed.
Add this week's pupils
Send each one a link. They accept it and appear in your pupil list.
Teach and write up
Teach as normal, then write up the lesson on your phone when you are parked up.
The difference
Your pupils arrive having practised the right things
LicencePath is also the app your pupils learn in, so what you teach in the car shapes what they practise at home.
- Set theory, hazard or practical practice after a lesson
- See what they completed before the next one
- Their readiness is built from your assessments, not guesswork
- Parents get a simple plan for supervised practice between lessons
New in 2026
You can no longer book your pupils' tests. You can still get them ready.
Since 12 May 2026 only the learner can book or change their test, and instructors cannot see availability. LicencePath shows you what your pupils have booked.
- See each pupil's test date
- See when your marks and their mock results say they are ready to book
- Help them choose a centre they will not need to move from
Your pupils, your business
Pupils choose what to share
You see their progress once they accept your link. They can disconnect at any time.
Who owns the records
An independent instructor’s pupil records belong to them. When an instructor teaches for a driving school, the school holds the records of the pupils taught for it, and those records stay with the school if the instructor leaves.
Where your data lives
Main database in London. Some providers work outside the UK, under UK transfer safeguards. Encrypted backups are kept for 30 days.

What does it cost?
Nothing while we launch, and no card is needed. We will tell you well before any paid plan starts.
Do my pupils have to pay?
No. The learner app is free for your pupils while we launch.
Can I bring my existing pupils?
Yes. Send each pupil a link from LicencePath. They accept it and appear in your pupil list.
Do I have to stop using WhatsApp?
No. Keep messaging pupils as you do now. Your diary, notes and payments just stop living in the chat.
Do I have to take payments through LicencePath?
