Questions schools ask

What does it cost?

Nothing while we launch, and no card is needed. We will tell you well before any paid plan starts.

Who owns the pupil records?

An independent instructor’s pupil records belong to them. When an instructor teaches for a driving school, the school holds the records of the pupils taught for it, and those records stay with the school if the instructor leaves.

Who can see pupils’ contact details?

Only the pupil’s own instructor. Owners and managers see each pupil’s name, instructor, next lesson, test date and balance, but not their contact details or teaching notes.

Can my instructors also teach their own pupils?

Yes. An instructor can belong to your school and run their own pupils. Each stays separate, including the money.

What happens when an instructor leaves?

Move their pupils to another instructor first. The lessons they taught stay recorded under their name. Then end their place in the school and their access ends.

Do pupils have to pay for the app?

No. The learner app is free for pupils while we launch.

Does LicencePath book driving tests?

No. Only the learner can book or change their test, on GOV.UK. LicencePath is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA.
